Travel

It is true, we live in Chicago, IL now—and we’re loving it! “So, why aren’t you getting married there?” one may ask. Well, since we met in Austin, got engaged in Austin, and called Austin home for the better part of a decade, we wanted to make the trek back down south for our nuptials. Plus we know more about the wedding industry there so it kind of makes planning easier.

For those of you venturing from afar—and, indeed, those from not that far—please see below for directions to our wedding venue and our singular hotel recommendation.

The Venue

JUSTINE’S SECRET HOUSE

1303 E 7th Street
Austin, TX 78702

Location and Parking Info

Our wedding venue is just what it says it is—a secret, shhhh! Just kidding, a lot of people know about it. But the place doesn’t have a sign, so don’t look for one. It’s in East Austin and the building is behind a concrete wall across the street from The Flower Shop, and next to Angie’s Mexican Restaurant. This is what it looks like on Google Street View.

There’s only street parking available, and it’s recommended that you carpool or use a rideshare.

Accommodations

We will be spending the weekend at Hotel San José located in the heart of South Congress Avenue. In the spirit of unity, we would love for guests to stay in the area if that is at all possible for you. The Austin Motel is right next door, and instead of reserving a room block, we have opted for a more flexible option of offering you Josh’s generous discount code from his time working for Bunkhouse Hospitality. This code can also be used at Carpenter Hotel and Hotel Magdalena located nearby as well.

We understand that hotel prices are a bit high during this time unfortunately, so if you end up at an Airbnb or something, we totally get it.

Use code PATSDAD when booking for 30% off your stay.
